WEEKEND NORDIC WALKING PROGRAMME
Nordic Walking - a new form of mobile activity for everyone.
Nordic Walking is no more than a natural walk enriched with the technique of pushing yourself off the ground with the aid of specially constructed sticks. Skilful use of the sticks causes an exceptionally healthy unburdening of the legs and spreading of the entire weight associated with movement onto the arms and upper body 90% of all the body's muscles. Nordic Walking knows no boundaries regarding age, fitness or stoutness. The advantages from practising this sport are varied. Walking with sticks is up to 40% more effective than without. The pulse rate easily rises to a level which keeps the heart and circulatory system in good condition. Depending on the hiking speed and the person exercising, we burn 400 calories per hour, compared to 280 when walking normally. Nordic Walking makes many of the muscles of the upper and lower limbs and trunk work more efficiently. Loosens the neck and shoulders. Nordic Walking can help you keep your whole body in good shape.
